AXPONA 2017: TAS Presents Legends of High-End Audio Panel and Book Signings

AXPONA 2017 is just around the corner, taking place April 21–23 at the Westin O’Hare just outside Chicago in Rosemont, Illinois once again. The hi-fi show offers audiophiles of all stripes the chance to check out the industry’s latest and greatest hi-fi gear across 140 dedicated listening rooms—plus the Ear Gear Expo—and to explore the marketplace for vinyl, accessories, and more. Attendees can also experience a number of seminars in addition to live music and other unique events.

As is our custom, TAS will be on-hand for some special events—a new edition of the popular Legends of High-End Audio Panel Discussion on Saturday, April 22 from 2:15–3:15 p.m., along with a series of book signings.

From 3:15–3:45 p.m., immediately following the talk, attendees can head to a book signing event for both volumes of The Absolute Sound’s Illustrated History of High-End Audio, where the illustrious panelists—all of whom are profiled in the book series—will be on hand. TAS Executive Editor Jonathan Valin, Managing Editor Julie Mullins, and selected TAS contributors will also be there to sign copies of the Illustrated History.* What’s more, AXPONA show-goers can enjoy special pricing on the TAS books.

The high-end audio industry luminaries participating in year’s edition of TAS’ Legends of High-End Audio Panel Discussion include:

AXPONA 2017: TAS Presents Legends of High-End Audio Panel and Book Signings

Dave Wilson: Founder of Wilson Audio and Wilson Audiophile Recordings, and Wilson’s CEO until last year, Dave Wilson was a reviewer for The Absolute Sound who turned his hobby of designing loudspeakers for his own use as a recording engineer into one of the most successful companies in high-performance audio. Dave is the designer of the new WAMM Master Chronosonic speaker system, among countless other classics. In addition to his design activities, Dave also serves as Chair of Wilson’s Executive Board.

Sheryl served as Dave’s business partner and was instrumental in helping to develop both the company’s culture and strategic vision. Sheryl is also a professional singer and serves as Vice Chair of Wilson Audio’s Board of Directors.

More recently, VAC has pushed the performance envelope with its Statement Series products.
